Apprenticeship

           

A SEED Church Planting Apprentice (CPA) works along side an experienced church plant coordinator from our movement.  During a one year apprenticeship, a CPA will:

· Develop a better, if not final, grasp on personal church planting call before year’s end.

· Have financial support for the year of apprenticeship:

o Money through the VisionOhio S.E.E.D. net account

o Part-time job (or other support the CPA develops).

o Lodging (when we can help)

· Receive hands on training in following areas:

o FIELD TRAINING

§  Mentored by an experienced church planter (life & character issues in accordance with the Bible)

§  Developing practical ministry skills working “on the ground” with an experienced church planter

§  Cultivating, praying and sowing with an experienced church planter in the context of both relationship and events

§  Cultivating, praying and sowing on your own with guidance, encouragement and accountability.

o THEOLOGICAL TRAINING

§  Biblically-based

§  Local church context

§  Personalized attention

o PERSONALIZED/INDIVIDUALIZED SKILL DEVELOPMENT

§  Church planter assessments

§  Optional formal coaching 

§  Introduction to Church Planting seminar

§  Spiritual guidance in seeking God for S.E.E.D. community

§  Readings assignments and discussion
